Still searching for you everywhere

Love, being in love, isn’t a constant thing. It doesn’t always flow at the same strength. It’s not always like a river in flood. It’s more like the sea. It has tides, it ebbs and flows. The thing is, when love is real, whether it’s ebbing or flowing, it’s always there, it never goes away. And that’s the only proof you can have that it is real, and not just a crush or an infatuation or a passing fancy.

Dream Journal (night: 4)

My mother and I were taking a walk through the hills of England. At a certain point she needed to rest and we went to the nearest bench to sit down. My mother pointed towards some ladybugs and said: “When they open their wings, they show us a message that predicts the future.”

The first one I tried to catch flew away immediately. The second one stayed longer, but I couldn’t make out the words written between it’s wings before it followed the first one and was gone.

“I didn’t see it.” I told my mother.
“I did.”
“What did it say?” The look upon her face made me fear the answer.
“It said that this year is going to be exactly like last year.”

Another thing about your voice. When you speak your lips become like a curtain which is drawn back from your tongue and teeth, and the curtain is also a wound - which every time I want to put my mouth to.

I know. I know that I shall never again meet anything or anybody who will inspire me with passion. You know, it’s quite a job starting to love somebody. You have to have energy, generosity, blindness. There is even a moment, in the very beginning, when you have to jump across a precipice: if you think about it you don’t do it. I know I’ll never jump again.

‘Cause that’d make sense. I’d get it.

You once told me never to let anyone tell me I’m not perfect. I guess I really didn’t understand at the time. I still don’t actually, but I wish I could talk to you about it right now. Because I really do need to understand. And I need to know why you let me say it. Did you know I didn’t mean it or did you decide right then and there that I wasn’t right for you?
